Elisabeth Birgmeier became a member of the Bavarian State Youth Choir in 2011 and then of the Bavarian Singakademie in 2012. From 2014 to 2021, she studied classical singing in opera and concert at the Freiburg University of Music with Prof. Regina Kabis-Elsner in a bachelor's and master's degree. She was an active participant in master classes with Prof. Kai Wessel and Prof. Edda Moser. In the 2017 summer project of the Freiburg Opera School, she sang in the role of "Taumann" in Humperdinck's opera "Hänsel und Gretel" in the small house of the Freiburg City Theatre. In the children's opera "Katze Ivanka" by M. Matesic, she first sang the cover and consequently the role as a jumper "Katze Ivanka" and was heard at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden in November 2017. On March 1, 2018, she appeared in the newly composed children's opera "Ritter Parceval" at the Theater Baden-Baden "Little Kundry" on stage. A semi-scenic guest performance of this project in the large hall of the Berlin Philharmonie was previously staged and performed in February. In "Love and Jealousy" by E. T. A. Hoffmann, she was heard as "Lisida" at the Theater Freiburg on the Kammerbühne as part of the music academy's opera project in summer 2018. She also sang her first solo concert at the St. Blasien Cathedral in July 2018. As part of an Erasmus programme, she studied at the "Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello" in Venice with M° Luisa Giannini from February to July 2019. During this time she also participated in the "Concorso lirico internationale Anita Cerquetti" opera competition and was awarded the "Sanremo Premio" in the final. In January 2020, she was heard as "Carolina" from "Il matrimonio segreto" by D. Cimarosa at the opera school of the MHS Freiburg. For her role debut as Adele, she has now been staged at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen July to September 2021 and has been honoured with the "Young Artists" award by the "Friends of the Castle Festival." In the 2021/22 season, she was a guest at the Stadttheater Freiburg as a Frenchman in Janacek's "Schlauen Füchslein." She also made her debut in the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf project, which premiered "Glas" by Caio De Azevedo. Since this season, she has been a permanent ensemble member of the Theater Plauen-Zwickau and made her debut as Blonde in "the abduction from the serial," "Ännchen" in Freischütz and now next year as "Olympia" in Hoffmann's stories of Offenbach. In addition, she gained some experience in the musical field at the house, taking on female leading roles in major productions - including "Wednesday" from the Addams Family and "Guinevere" in the musical "Artus Excalibur." She has been a Schumann Prize winner since the summer of 2024, as she won the 2nd prize in the women's category at the international Schumann Competition for Lied Art, although the first place was not awarded.
